CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST-- Join us for a Fall Foliage Ride, destination Hancock, MA. Includes a stop at Jiminy Peak to ride the Alpine Super Slide.
About the Alpine Slide, from their site: "Jiminy’s alpine slide is one of the most popular attractions in our Mountain Adventure Park. Take a scenic chairlift ride up and then get ready to shoot down the mountain through tunnels, dips, curves. Thrill seekers will love flying down the mountain and through forests while taking in the breathtaking views of the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts... Jiminy’s Alpine Slide is a track built into the mountain side, where you ride a sled down and are able to control your own speed. You’ll begin with a scenic chairlift ride up the mountain. Starting at approximately 900 vertical feet above our resort, the alpine sled allows you to coast at your own speed through 2,890 feet of tunnels, dips, curves and turns, on one of two identical tracks. Our mountain sleds can provide a leisurely sightseeing experience for the timid or a speed adventure for the thrill seekers.
Note: The Alpine Slide must be closed for the safety of our guests, whenever there is moisture present on the track. This may include morning dew, drizzle or rain from thunderstorms. The Alpine Slide can not reopen until the track is completely dry and inspected by staff members."
This will be followed by lunch, then a stop at Mount Greylock in Adams, MA to take in the beautiful views.
