Ride to Beacon, NY - Boat Ride & Tour of Bannerman Island / Castle

We'll be riding to Beacon, NY and taking a short boat ride on the Hudson River to Pollepel Island (more commonly known as "Bannerman Island") for a walking tour of the grounds and remnants of Bannerman Castle led by our own Chapter member, Curt P.   

With a fascinating history (partly as an arms surplus storage site), and stunning views from this "tiny jewel in the setting of the Hudson Highlands", this should be a great day.

Meet:  8:00AM Panera 5A Sugar Hollow Rd, Danbury

KSU:  8:30AM

Fee:  $25 (includes tip for Boat Captain) will be collected prior to departure from Panera

MUST RSVP in advance, Sept 3rd deadline, limited to first 16 Members to sign up. 

Lunch afterwards at Billy Joe's Ribworks, right on the bank of the Hudson River in Newburgh, NY.
